Well, last night (11/11/2015) will go down in history.
Jeopardy is holding its annual Tournament of Champions, and the strongest contender -- Matt Jackson -- was among this trio.
When it came to the final Jeopardy question -- and no, I won't give it away, lest you be recording and watching later -- I immediately said, "Got it."
Lady Cranefly gave me a quizzical glance, because she just wasn't getting it. Finally she asked what my answer was and I told her.
Anyway, none of the three contestants got it either. Not even mister know-it-all Matt Jackson.
This has never happened before, where I got the final while the contestants -- and Lady Cranefly -- didn't. And it happened against the best of the best.
Not that this means crap. I'm absolutely terrible at Jeopardy. Heck, one of the categories last night was Dinosaurs, and I nearly got skunked. What an embarrassment. I mean, I grew up on dinosaurs. I knew them all. Or so I thought.
Archaeologists need to give their shovels a rest!

Don't forget, everyone--next online test is being administered next week--you have your pick of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Cranefly and I are signed up for Tuesday.

Friday the 13th.
No, not another movie remake.
On July 13, 2018, which falls on a Friday, Lady Cranefly will take a train, plane, or automobile -- heck, maybe all three -- to a remote hole-in-the-wall place called San Francisco, where she will be interrogated, quizzed, and otherwise poked and prodded to see if she's got the right stuff to appear on What's My Line.
No, that's not it. Jeopardy. She'll be testing for an opportunity to be on Jeopardy.
Oddly, I have not yet been notified. But I'm sure if I stand here by the mailbox a few more days, it will show up.

No, that's not it. Jeopardy. She'll be testing for an opportunity to be on Jeopardy. When Lady Cranefly returned from that event, she told me about the experience. She mentioned chatting with one of the other competitors who was a professional sports gambler. I'm not certain he stood out in her mind, except that it seemed an odd profession.

Really? The same dude?
I know a few pro gamblers, although no sports ones. My uncle was a pro-gambler. He just passed away a few weeks ago. Jeff's wife (from Lam Kwoon) was borderline pro - she's a poker player.

Yep. That dude.
Oh, and Lady Cranefly and I also took the online test last week. LCF struggled a bit with some of her answers.
As for me, I had no such hesitation in my non-answers (saved a lot of wear and tear on my keyboard during that time).

Time once again to stand by the mailbox.
No, wait. Mustn't get the order mixed up. First take the online test -- choice of three nights, starting tonight.
Good luck, Greg. And TQ? Anyone else?

The Queen tests tonight. I'll be doing it tomorrow.
May all your answers be correct. Good luck, CF.
