I'm staying in Saratoga with my mother and sister Stephanie. Stephanie came down to fix mom.

Due to the damage caused by the flooding and the subsequent repair, my mother turned one of the rooms on the third floor into a guest bedroom complete with bed. If you know what my mother had done with the rest of the house you will know this a real improvement. Almost unheard.

It used to be Stephanie's old room but for some reason she opted to stay up stairs and sleep on the bad day bed. As opposed to sleeping on the bad sofa bed.

I was initially overjoyed to have this room with a bed and fresh paint and new carpet for my stay. But as I tried to get to sleep on Friday night, all I could think about was that I was sleeping my Dad's office where he spent most waking hours during the last fifteen years. But even better, it's the room where my grandfather died.

Sleep came hard as my mind wrestled with ghosts.

Back at bungalow on Sunday at .... well 4:20. Last time I was here was Friday at 7am. I barely slept on Friday night because something I ate at the buffet disagreed with me making me have to get up to use the bathroom. A lot. Last night I was tweaking way too hard on the afterparty surreality to sleep well, plus my roommate - and dear friend - was having a soul-baring moment. Musta been the 3 bottles of tequila.

I’m gonna eat some salad and TJ enchiladas, take a hot bath, and crash hard. 

TCEKFMCX went well overall. Very successful and smooth as it could go. Grateful.

I was asleep. It was nice. Then I got bunch of texts from Grace about missing each other on the exit, from Gigi about tomorrow’s interview subject and from the Dragon Crew about meeting up for a reggae happening now.
Now I’m awake again. Dammit. Consciousness can be such a curse.

It was a hoot! I bailed early on Saturday but blisters were threatening and I have always been a sprinter, not a runner. I've also come to realize that the footage you see of kids is probably mine. I get a kick out of watching 6-year olds trying to break a board or their opponents head. I love watching the helicopter parents giving them 'Rocky' tips. Thanks Greg and DM for the opportunity and I hope I helped!

Well, now half of Tiger Claw is sick.  Everyone has the same damn cough.  Pat, JJ & Chris succumbed and didn't show up to work.  Jonny, Kevin and a few others are toughing it out.  I just slept through my feckin holiday and got well enough just in time to go back to work.  yay me.

Hope you guys all fared better.  Thanks again for coming out.  It was great to have a DOOM quintet, if only for a few fleeting hours.  Who knows when that might happen again... if ever?

Most of TC is back at work although J.J. still has a fever and most are still coughing up stuff. 

So after sleeping through Memoral Day weekend & Cali Roots, I made it to practice, gassed out about halfway through burn had a decent sweat. Took an epson salt bath and wound up sleeping the rest of the day. Last Sunday I felt better and walked downtown to see Solo. It was Pride and it was crazy with tourists that were too colorful for me at the time, so I walked to Earthbelly for lunch. Here’s where it gets good - got a wicked bout of food poisoning. Puked so hard that I’m still sore two days later. Spent the whole Sunday down with nausea and heartburn. But once again, I got well just in time to go back to work yestermonday. yay me.

This weekend, I ain’t doing nothin.
