i've actually got most of it in place now. i'm giving the main body text one more pass, and then start formatting it into something pdf-able. then it'll be up for some volunteer reviewers. ;-)

the index and corrections will be the next hurdle. ultimately, i'm not happy with it, but i just got to get this albatross off my neck and move on...

And if I go to the Pumpkin patch, will I see the great Pumpkin, too?

i've decided to delete the methods section and integrate it into the trips section. shouldn't take too long really, but it'll delay my transfer to pdf a little.

you know, i watched the great pumpkin show again last tuesday. it struck me as funnier than it did last year. maybe because i could visualize myself as lucy and greg as c.b. flying through the air missing that football. why is greg so fixated on c.b. anyway?

Is that one of those psychology tropes? Determine your psychology profile by determining which Peanuts character you are most closely aligned to? You can do the same thing with Gilligan's island, too.

More importantly, why do you keep setting me up to fail?

Finally, that bird is getting stinkier by the minute. My mother is going to have her book finished quicker.

why do you think it's me setting you up to fail? maybe it's just your karma and i'm just the vehicle of that karma...

wait, how have you failed here?

I'm taking the liberty of emailing the pdf 1st draft to Greg, CF & LCF. If anyone else wants a reader's acknowledgment, I'll be happy to forward it to you too. It's just under 600 pages, completely uncorrected, sans index and bibliography.

Congratulations! Happy to proof or whatever if you need help.

The proof is in the pudding... or maybe the pudding is in the proof.

No wait, I'm not a pudding supporter.

I'll email you a copy too. I suspect the pdf might be too large for hotmail. Got another address?

No wait, you're on IM. I'll get it from you there.

Just so you know, the Queen spent the entire weekend with red pen in hand and your manuscript. She even actually laughed out loud at a few points. My question was always "Funny on purpose or not?" Sometimes it was on purpose. I will be making my corrections in purple when she is done.

I don't care if it was on purpose or not. As long as it's entertaining...

Through the first 100 pages, it is.

Quick question - I get that this is a collection of articles. There are several places where you repeat stories (e.g. reference the same historical event, same legend, etc.). In individual articles, that's great, but in a collection, it gets a little repetitive. Do you want those noted or should I just ignore them?
