It's always nice to see DM being challenged to a fight by an irate reader of his magazine.
Get ready to rumble!

Sigh.
Now DM will have to climb down from Half Dome to deliver a sword thrust.
By dragging in that whole bit about growing up on an Indian reservation, was he suggesting racism -- that DM marginalized him because of his ethnicity?
Methinks he needs to start his own magazine to give full bloom to his own exploits.

I pointed Lady Cranefly to this, but looks like he took it down.
Oh, to be so young and foolish again (as opposed to old and foolish)...

It was some good whiny complain-ifying. You'd think the guy was 15 years old, but no. Maybe a real adult suggested that he try to address things in a more circumspect, mature way, and that he could challenge DM to a shoving match later if it didn't work out. Could also be that his martial arts association told him to quit pissing off a sponsor.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Next time, please copy & paste the challenge here. Fortunately, Tim fb mssgd me with his complaint along with more detailed info. Alas. I actually like the guy and didn't see that coming at all. I get 'challenged' maybe once or twice a year, but it almost never goes the distance because as the challenged one, I retain the right of field of play, and Kung Fu peeps typically balk when I say epee or kendo, or when I say I'm injured (which is always) and declare the right for a proxy.
Monday's after a vacation are so fun.

We abandoned NinjaStar years ago when participation dropped. We had one good year, then it was done, and for all the effort, we really didn't see much of a bump in ninja gear sales.
As for the challenge, I have resolved it. After claiming field of play, he backed down. I probably would have went with epee or kendo as both are tricky for a nooB, and I'm confident that even though I haven't dabbled in either for like 2+ decades, I could still make mincemeat of a nooB. Like I said, I do like the guy. He's quite interesting and we're having lunch in a month. Maybe we'll even do an article.
It's weird tho - after the confrontation I got in with Sal at Berkeley CMAT this year, well, that's two for 2017 - not unheard of but unusual as the year is only a little over half over. People are so aggro now. I blame it on Trump. srsly.

Well, if there is going to be fight, I get to film it.
And haven't we aged out of the fight bracket?
I blame Trump, too.

I'm so excited...
...that all the overblown hype about the Mayweather Jr./McGregor fight will soon be over.
Still can't believe that so many people are gifting a multi-millionaire with a huge paycheck for agreeing to this farce.

Why yes, I would let Mayweather beat me up for $100 million payday. $50 million, even.
