Did I make that prophecy? He can always call my sister who has been a prison nurse in a psyche ward for the last twenty five years. I still think she's on the wrong side of the bars. My niece also works in the prison as a nurse, too.

I'm a spectator among hundreds in a shady raucous room. Something big is about to go down. The problem is, one of the key players is a no-show, and time is running out. The emcee warns of a looming disqualification as the clock ticks down. Then, just as he's starting to announce it, the crowd goes crazy. All eyes turn to the door, where a naked Australian aborigine is strolling in (shades of Behind the Green Door, because he's hung like a horse). Didgeridoos kick in as he makes his way onto the central stage to confront his opponent across a chessboard.
I wake up. WTF?
I'm nobody's pony.

I'm on a bus. Cole is driving. Bob is there, somewhere on the bus. My dad is swimming from Fremont then parallel to the Dumbarton bridge then to what must be Palo Alto. His aphasia is not a factor. In fact, I don't see him. We are just on the bus and the reason is to pick him up when he's done. Cole drives us into a swamp and the bus is flooded. The bus keeps going, but I find it all rather irksome. It's not cold but we are all very wet. The bus is now more like one of those WWII military half-track vehicles. Cole, Bob and my dad are no longer in the scene. Some other friends are there - nite krew friends - and it feels very tropical. I'm still irked because I think there might be sharks or gators.
I wake up to Fur Elise.

I'm pretty sure you just make up one of these when you want to dominate the forum. That's right. I went there.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

In truth, dm did have that dream, but he replaced Cole and Bob for DOOM Domination purposes. In the real dream, Salma was driving and Antonio was there.

DM was starring in his own episode of "Game of Thrones". DM pretty much kicked ass. Too bad about the invisible Lion guardian.

DM & PPFY are visiting LCF & CF. They bring DM/PPFY to a new strip mall shop that they find amusing because it sells swords and other weapons. It turns out to be rather awesome, mostly pirate stuff, but a lot of cool pieces. PPFY starts grabbing stuff he thinks he can resell. He soon has an armful of rapiers and flintlock pistol replicas. DM is amused by a large ornate Kwan Dao that LCF points out, as it is carved completely from sandalwood. Then he looks at this weird Mah Dao, that has a four-legged tripod (quadpod?) as a handle. Dm gets into an argument with the shop owner, demanding to know wtf is up with that Mah Dao.
Interpretation: Last Saturday, one of Dm's friends showed off a rather impressive Mah Dao he had in his collection. It was modern made, but sharp and strong with a full tang that ran the length of the handle shaft - a real weapon. As for the rest, well, there's no telling.

Then I awoke to pot this here. Perhaps I am still dreaming and posting in my sleep. Internet addiction is a terrible thing.

Last night I dreamed that Aziz Ansari mentioned ACWLPFB in a piece he wrote in the NY Times. It was illustrated by a picture of a pair of shoes that had been constructed by collaging layers of photographs over each other. I think the piece was something about obsession, or searching for things (That bit probably comes from my recent reading of Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore.) Anyway, the store still existed and the Yeti was still working there, and the store was really big, like Books Inc. at Town and Country. I was telling two young women (employees?) how it used to be when there was no computerized inventory, and you actually had to carry around a lot of knowledge inside your head. Then the scene shifted to me driving on the freeway, looking for a road that I just couldn't find.
And IY, I think you might enjoy the book mentioned above.
