E6 (I think) Jake makes a mistake. Jeffords and Boyle fight to be the candyman. Amy and already get drunk. And Holt gets huffy.
It’s the rapid fire dialog tempo that makes this work. It doesn’t give any space for a gag to fall flat. The momentum keeps it funny.

Glad I left this note because I could go straight back to where I left off last year. 

E7 This is the Boyle family ep. Funny and sweet with Holt reuniting with his husband.

S8e8: Rosa staring down Cheddar made me lol.

This is technically the penultimate ep, because the last two are a two-parter titled ‘the Last Day’. Gonna save that one for later…

The Last Day = the last heist. The heist eps were always fun because they were so outrageously absurd. The finale nailed just the right amount of callbacks and feels, totally sticking the landing. Nice to see a show exit gracefully on their own terms. I will miss this squad but there’s always reruns.
