Woah. Totally misread that the first time and now I can shake the mental image.

She’ll do it for the spotlight, as long as you don’t come off as some creepy pervert.

Oh wait. Maybe you’re right. Too high profile…

I figured I could ask. It doesn't hurt to get a no.

I dunno, bro.

A ‘No’ from the iron vagina might hurt a lot.

Yes, Kim would be interested in this. She's been studying Taoist energy and qi gong practices for 30 years. While she obviously has a focus on building strength, underpinning all of her work is the energetic component.

About to talk to Master Bryant Fong to see if he would be up for being in the documentary. He has doubts he will be a good fit.

That's a fair translation of the chengyu.

擒 =  catch, capture, seize, arrest - it's the same 'qin' as in 'qinna' which is proper pinyin for 'chin na', the kung fu of joint lock.
猿 = ape.
捉 =  grasp, clutch; catch, seize.
馬 = horse, as in 'ma bu' - horse stance. it's also a common surname.

I hope it's a good translation because I stole it from Dr. Yang.

The Master Bryant Fong interview is in the can. I hope. That man had a lot to say. He didn't embrace the mysticism of Qi as much as Dr. Yang. I even got a few quotes from him about Master Tu. I was thinking that was going to be sensitive one master talking about another master but Master Fong said nice things about Tu but didn't buy into all. Master Fong didn't want to talk about the sexual/healing aspects of Iron Crotch. Just kind of shook his head when I brought it up.

On the disaster front, all my batteries were dead when I tested my equipment this morning so I had run out and get some AAs from Safeway. The other was a light stand that was broken. I only used two lights instead of three. Everyone at the Japantown YMCA was amazed at the amount of gear I schlepped in.

Time to round up some more victims to be interviewed.

We chatted as I wrapped up and we got to talking about G2 and her impact on Martial Arts here in the US despite her not being a martial artist. That might be a story someone should visit.
