E8 season finale
Not the last battle... the first.
Srsly?
A Disney death.
Srsly+?

I dunno man. I don’t think I’m in for season 2. It had its moments - e6 (or 5 or whatev) was good and I guess I slept through to duding boning (couldn’t have been that elating though). Rosamund was good. Not nearly enough of the Professor. I liked when the dark one first manifested but when he took on a more human face, that was meh.

Moving on...

E8 Finale. Same. How could that defensive wall have stood for 3000 years is if the Trollocs were able to breach it so easily? What is Perrin's job exactly besides being mad and glaring at people? And what happened to Matt Cauthon? Still confused by the fact the characters keep talking about the five chosen in one village when there were only supposed to be three ( yes and unfair book/tv show comparison) The sets still look too clean for me. Sure was pretty easy to defeat the Dark one.....

Aren't they on strike?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

They are. They shouldn't be appearing to promote although some do petition SAG to get permission.

It’s weird with the writers and actors. The most common work around is to have directors and show runners to appear. Others like Jamie Lee Curtis and William Shatner have comics and books to promote so they will be there on behalf of that. Not sure how Rosemund is doing it. Maybe she’s a scab?

Alright now, the first 3 eps of s2 are live and I tuned in for the first two. I can’t remember the minor characters that well, only the bigger story arcs like Rosamund and her Asian beefcake swordsman Lan, the werewolf that has visions, the apprentice gals, the psycho blonde witch with thr prominent jawbone…the other characters I’ve forgotten. But it didn’t matter too much. I caught on quick enough to follow.

There’s still a fair amount of swordplay, but it’s not overly compelling. Rosamund is good but her character has one note right now - taking on everything stoically alone. Wolfboy’s visions are better and now he’s with the blind wise dude who is giving him some advice. There’s magic too, of course. The trainees got a new classmate, the heiress to the throne, and that’s a bit interesting.

The end of ep2 reintroduced thr Professor from La Casa de Papel, which was the reason I watched this show from the start so despite saying I was going to bail, I might watch a bit more.

This season feels a little darker than before. I like that. But so far, it’s mostly just more of the same.
