I never knew.

Wow! Dm, quoted in the Wall Street Journal. Or did you get this down on Fisherman's Wharf?

Is it the goal this week on the forum to make everybody else jealous?

...couldn't let ED gloat anymore about his UK trip. Jealousy is so unbecoming.

BTW, Dechao is scheduled to come to the Otis event. You'll be able to experience his fists of love firsthand.

I just agreed to be part of a discussion panel on Martial Arts as a Path to Non-violence. The other two speakers will be Josh Waitzken (subject of Searching for Bobby Fischer and 2-time world tai chi push hands champ) and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan. Our discussion will be moderated by Rakaa of Dilated Peoples.

April 12, 2008, Riekes Center for Human Advancement, Menlo Park, CA

The panel is scheduled for 1:30 PM.

Bringing a travel chess set? Challenging him to a game? :-D
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

DM, I'll bring the chess set and use Bird's opening with a deceptive morph into the Latvian Gambit -- Traxler Variation.

You wade in with cloud hands.

Josh Waitzken can sit, but he can't hide.

I say you kick their hippy asses for even *thinking* about non-violence. Non-violence is the ultimate luxury in a decadent, bloated society. Show 'em some real life! kick 'em in the head! Better yet, show them true futility and give them the unanswerable argument of gunning them down in cold blood! Martial this, you patchouli-soaked, tai-chi-sippin', hippy cheese-bags! Blam! Blam! Blam!

The only word I can think of is Stunning. Both those videos show you in such a good light. In the second one, maybe you could add a little pop-up sign with your name pointing towards you to avoid any doubt you are in that video.

All Hail the Hip-Hop Chess federation. On your birthday, no less. It also had the better soundtrack of the two.
