The Shaolin Zone

I have free tickets to the show. Too bad no one here is in LA.

I thought about reaching out to Scapino, but he never comes round here no more.

He does have a phone. And email.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I imagine he does. Doesn't he work in phones?

I meant that he hasn't come around here so why should I bother? Isn't he still D00M blackballed?

Nah. Not at this stage. Although at least four years ago, he tentatively thought about posting.

He works for Ricoh.

My phone has been blowing up with texts and messages all day.

My WhatsApp started pinging at 4am. I’d turn off my phone but my alarm is set on it and I have a telemeet first thing today. I need to check in for my boarding pass tomorrow anyway.

I’ll be glad when Monday comes and the abbot heads to Venice.

You should have the Abbot take you to Venice with him!

If only.

It’s actually exhausting to be with the Abbot, mostly because my mandarin is so bad.

Since I was awake, I got my southwest boarding pass right on time. I got A2. I’ve never even scored an A before (a peril of being a lone traveler).

Woo-hoo!

I think it was on FB that I saw a movie poster showing Bruce Wen and Jack Tu in a movie together......

I bailed on iaido tonight. I was getting so inundated with texts & messages that I couldn’t get my work done for the day so I’m doing it now.

Daaaaammmn

SJC is packed at this hour. Huge lines. But they let me keep my shoes & jacket on going thru TSA so it’s all good.

For a moment, as Stacy was driving me over, I had a flashback to waking before dawn at Shaolin to those scratchy speakers blaring the national anthem and the days orders. Ah the Shaolin zone…

Will you spend the weekend singing the Shaolin Shaolin song?

I only know the chorus

A lot more people are showing up from all over the country for this one. It’s good to reunite.

Calm before the storm. I have a bad feeling about the tournament. They are taking on too much given their infrastructure.
