Or make up a fake movie and hang everything on it. It could be called “See You Next Wednesday”

Nope. That was a fake movie that would appear on posters and marquees in John Landis films. As an oldie oldster, you should know that.

Synchronicity strikes again! I'm now writing about Supernova which was the inaugural film for the director credit to replace Alan Smithee.

Burn Hollywood Burn!
Woke up with another story without a home. Or at least a date stamp on it. It's about a production designer who was so fortunate to be able to reuse pieces he designed for movies in his own home. It's amazing how that worked out. Can you think of the luck involved?

What about the Sufi temple tiles from Hell House? Or was it Last Action Hero?

In this instance, they were from Tall Tale, a film I didn't work on, but used the panels for the temple.
I just wrote some about the strange Islamic pieces from the set of The Haunting that have a similar back story.

This is getting embarrassing. How could I have forgotten Aligator II? And yet, I did. Time to go back and spin tales about a night in rainfall runoff tunnel.

Life is a circle. It's all connected.
This morning I realized that Money Train had not popped up in my list of films so I needed to go back and do a little IMDB research. I wanted to get the coordinators name. Then because curiosity/rabbit hole/writing procrastination, I checked what other films he had been the construction coordinator.

While DM lies abed covered in whiskey fumes, trying to entice his muse to visit him, I go out and get her.
I use the dog walks to prep my head with the stories. I l look at IMDB to jog my memory of what movies are next in the queue and go to bed. The idea is to then think back on those movies and the stories I need for the days writing.
It never works. I think of stories from all sorts of movies but not the ones I need at the moment. It's a pain.

I feel your pain.
Sadly, I've discovered that my commute over Hwy17 was a major part of my process. Having to hump the hill 6 times a week gave me good muse zone time. Now I only do it twice a week, and I'm struck by how often I can sort past a block while driving.

Not a very productive day. A lot of scratching at the brain for memories of half-remembered shows. But i did write about a fight I almost got into on one show. I am set for Monday, because I get to start writing about Planet of the Apes. And I remember those stories.
