But on a side note, I reached out to an old cosplayer friend in LA because Immortal wants cosplayers. She’s into it because she knows me & Zeda. She’s worked on some of Zeda’s wrasslin costumes.

This has been an insane project. There's like over a dozen people on the development team and my WeChat has been pinging every 15 mins for two days now. 

And it's culminating.

There was an 'all hands on deck' telemeet this morning. Like a dozen of us. I have this spaceship background currently and someone commented that I must be returning from Mars. I said I was coming back from May the Fourth, which sparked a conversation about what we all did. Our showrunner said he was with Harrison on a panel for 1923. Needless to say, he won.

Made a clandestine rendezvous in Chinatown to transfer several nondescript boxes from one unmarked van to another, like you do, and had a lovely seafood pho at some authentic place that the hipsters are fond of. Now settling into the hacienda hills digs for the next two nights. Nice space. A private home, very posh & minimalistic. 

All is well.

Our immortal boss wants to begin this morning with a half hour sit - we sit for a few minutes with each meeting. A half hour of zazen is more rigorous. Then I tune into my YMAA tasks for the morning. Then over to the site. Boss has asked me to demo some Kung Fu but I don’t know that I’m up for it. I generally don’t demo anymore. We’ll see…

And my YMAA duties are done for today. Now switching to Immortal mode. 

Our boss Payhuan has a lovely home in Hacienda hills. It’s fairly empty because he’s moving towards selling it. Reminds me of my mom’s house - several empty rooms and a few packed ones that he uses. Josh, a former SEGA developer who worked on Yakuza (the game series that the tepid Amazon series Like a Dragon came from), is also housed here - he came in from TX and we met for the first time in person at LAX when we rented the van.

I got my SW boarding pass the minute it was available - B3 (yesterday was B9 and a relatively empty flight - 60 empty seats). 

Payhuan just went on a lunch run. All I need to do is wax my stache and robe up. Then we head to the venue to get this show on the road.

Trippy place. A shared workspace, multifunctional - lots of people working on laptops in cubbies, lastly writing scripts I think. Mostly Iron Crotch but no DM & the Yeti.

Did some set up but then decided it was too hot so I ducked out & grabbed an iced coffee with a Starbucks gift card one of Yuki’s pack mom’s gave me for xmas. She always gives dog themed gift cards. Been sitting on it for just such an occasion (i disdain Starbucks)
