Papa Lynch's World War 2 Book
From Casemate Publishers Wrote:No – hopefully this coming Monday/Tuesday I will send you the final proof and the final cover. We will add the dedication you just mentioned, you check you’re happy with everything one final time and then sign approval form authorising us to go ahead and print.

That should be the process concluded and shouldn’t interfere with any travel plans

Very excited.

Just completed my meeting with the sales team. They told me all the ways they are trying to promote the book. It all sounds pretty promising. There might be some podcasts in my future as well as some interviews.

Okay. I'm buzzing pretty hard at the moment.

I don't know how familiar you are with Science Fiction author John Scalzi but he has won a couple of Hugos and other major awards. His most famous book is probably Old Man's War. When he came out he was picked as the next Heinlein for his military Science Fiction. But he also runs a very popular blog called Whatever where he muses about things that are on his mind. I think the blog gets about 100K visitors a week. On his blog, he also makes room for authors to plug their works in a segment called The Big Idea. The author writes about the big idea that drove the novel. I've been reading this blog forever and it has led me to a bunch of new authors.

Since, I have a book coming out, I thought I might as well apply. I sent in my application as soon as I got back from Ireland. Since they had shuffled the publication date on The Black Scorpions, now available July 6th, I was a little behind in getting in my application. Almost two weeks have passed and I was getting ready to ask one more time.

That changed this morning when I got a note from John Scalzi saying my book will be part of the Big Idea on July 6th.

I am well chuffed indeed.
