Seen. I agree with tg for the most part although I feel he’s being unfair to Taylor. She was good but her role was cut short. It’s got a great cast and the director knows how to show off their star power with gratuitous close ups, and it has a message about the rich, nazis and racism which resonated, but it gets lost in its stilted attempts to be quirky. It misses the black comedy vibe it aimed for. Margot looks stunning, and Anna is too albeit more sinister. DeNiro is so DeNiro. A decent role for Rami too. Labeling Bale’s performance as Columbo is spot on, and Shannon and Myers nail their roles. Washington was a bit flat and it could’ve used more Rock (which is something I never thought I’d say). It’s weirdly gruesome. It just needed to be funnier. I did like when they dropped drugs in their eyes.
Not D00M recommended unless you’re a fan of any of the cast and just want to see them chew up scenery.
