That is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them.
That was the same question going into SDCC too and that came off okay. I've got a better sense of how my meds work - SDCC was a learning experiment. OSL is less impact than SDCC. I was essentially on my own with SDCC, surrounded by a squad who I've only known via the web since the pandemic (except for Peter) and in a city that I know but is hundreds of miles from home. Keep in mind, that was only my 2nd SDCC.
With OSL, I have Tara and her apartment is close, plus I know the crew well (one of the Docs is a close friend and confidante and is fully aware of my situation), and I've worked this venue since 2008, coincidentally the same year when I was first diagnosed with this issue.
The real question is the following week, the backpacking trip. Yesterday I hiked 3+ miles (12 floors) in Pogonip with about a 30 lb pack as a test. It felt okay. I'll have to do 3x that at altitude during the trip, if I go. I almost did 3 miles when I was in SF for Bullet Train (got there early, walked to Civic center looking for a plate of beef chow main....no, falafel actually but that's how the song goes)
I'm relying heavily on my meds. I've titrated my meds down to just my Nsaids, 1 daily muscle relaxant and 1 neural. I can double the single doses and add the norco if need be.
Fingers crossed.
