Today I went to Skyport Dr Kaiser (near the SJC) for a covid test. I did three of them last year at that location -- before each hip and then for the TURP procedure -- and never waited behind more than two cars. Today there were hundreds of cars, backed up onto Skyport Dr wanting to turn right onto Technology Dr., then backed up on Technology Dr for a long way, and into the far end of the Kaiser parking lot. Then it became 4 lanes S-ing repeatedly through the lot before getting to the test stations.
Wow. And I had an appmt. When I got near the front, a lady approached my window and asked, "Do you have an appt or 'Something Else'?" I didn't catch the something else, but told her I had an appmt. Not that it seemed to matter. Same wait, same routine. Took over an hour in line.
What the hell is the 'Something Else'? What is going on? Testing requirements for workplaces?
This covid test is required for my colonoscopy. Yep, getting started early for my procedures this year.

I'm nobody's pony.
