barrier built. only took two trips to the hardware store (my first screws were too short). it came out rather crooked, but it was all hand tools, hand sawing the plywood scrap leftovers from the neighbor's wall reconstruction, plus my little old makita. at the last moment, stacy asked me to add another part to the partition, which i may do tomorrow because i do have the parts, but it might be too crooked by now so the last bit will be even more crooked.
i'm pretty sore and was getting really angry at myself for all the mistakes i made. it was a simple enough task but i'm so out of practice building stuff. i got this weird flashback to when i left afs - leaving a full shop of tools behind and all my skills faded. now leaving tc, i'm leaving all my graphics programs behind. will my graphic skills fade? they were pretty weak actually. my physical soreness makes me feel old again. we'll see how stiff i am tomorrow - that'll determine if i do this add-on piece stacy wants...
but the barrier will work. it'll keep yuki off the cords and tubes and away from burrowing behind the washer and dryer.
