Every time I see this topic lit up with a new post, I fear it will be that dreaded short one. You know, like "Fuck!"
Announcing the first of us to go positive. Though it could signify the same for a close friend or relative. So far I haven't seen that among the lot of us. Or maybe you're just not saying.
I figure I have about a 70 percent chance of getting it this go-around (there will be further cycles, no doubt, yearly if not later in the year). I don't have good reason to say that, except that we're not being as careful as we should -- not like that video I posted on my facebook homepage. We don't do all that cleaning and isolation after a grocery trip.
But I'm thinking we should, though it's a bit late. The house and cupboards and fridge and freezer could be harboring the little bastard just waiting for an opportunity.
But I'm trying to get better at stopping anything new at the door. So as LCF heads to Costco, I've primed a couple spray bottles with bleach (way expired, by the way, and it does degrade, but hopefully somewhat potent), and instructed LCF to put things on the wooden deck outside, and I'll handle it from there.
But I'm not going to be as thorough as those videos instruct. Not that I think it's overkill. It's just that we likely already have uninvited guests. We have to be careful in a hand to face way. And wash hands often, hope for the best.
Not only don't I want to get this, I'd feel embarrassed and guilty if I did, for putting a greater strain on an already stretched healthcare system.
Better get ready for LCF's return. Take care, all.

I'm nobody's pony.
