Stacy loves costume dramas. I do too because there’s a higher chance that there will be swords. Sadly, although there are swords in this, they never get unsheathed.
It’s masterpiece theater - old Amsterdam with beautiful costumes and intriguing locales. A young bride moves into a creepy mansion with her husband - a sugar dealer - who she doesn’t really know. And there’s this dollhouse that mirrors the mansion - is it witchcraft? Mysteries and hidden sins are in every shadow. I was really getting into this by the 2nd ep and sad to find out it was only a 3-parter - plus the finale was a bit weak. And no sword fights. I suspect the book is better. But still, it held my attention for 3 eps.
