Today is work - still getting things in line for the holiday weekend. Some predatory errands.
Stacy is getting her car cleaned.

I'm "working" and having a cup of ginger tea. Not many people around; I figure a lot of students are skipping classes or profs cancelled them. Adding a bunch of music to my collection - a retired prof gives me her book discards (most of which I sell or trade) and yesterday dropped off five boxes, including about a dozen Baroque music CDs. So I get some music and I can sell them.

Return to the Lair. Work on doc. Maybe light a bonfire.

No classes today. Nice and quiet so I'm listening to some music. They gave us half a day off so I'll run some errands with Christina afterward.

Train into Rome today (we're staying in Frascati). Walked to piazza Barberini (where we will catch a catacomb + crypt tour tomorrow). Had dinner, watched a motorcade go back & forth a few times (once with 3 vans labeled "Press" at the end) walked to Spanish Steps, did some shopping, had some gelato).

Just gonna hide from merc and hope the yeti doesn't get eaten by a shark in the catacombs.
Work is almost done. Then the holiday starts.

I was planning a day of fire for Thanksgiving Day, but my shoulder would prefer I read and ate too much food. I think I'm going with plan B

T-day went ok although exhausting. Stacy made lasagne (gluten free & glutenous) Brussel sprouts & cream of cauliflower soup, plus there was pumpkin pie. I picked up my mom, and Tara, Bri & Bottles join us. Yuki & Bottles had fun running about. My mom had a good time.
Now back at the bungalow unwinding with some video.

We had a lovely morning hike with our yard pack, but pulled off a tick on Yuki & Lisa when we got home.
I’m about to heat up some leftover T-day lasagne then head up to SF tonight for FXSF. Not sure where I’ll sleep tonight. Maybe here, maybe svale, maybe a galaxy far far away…

Today was catch train back into Rome, find a *good* cappuccino (success!) bonus Irish coffees with good coffee & rotgut whisky @ 11:00am (WOOF!) almost got a second round. Walked an hour to H's cooking class. 4 hours, nice people, good food, nice dinner. Take metro back to train station, have second encounter with pickpockets, take train back.
Regroup at hotel, go out for sublime gelato. Watch the youth run riot in this hilltown (young people are knuckleheads the world over) ice rink set up in front of the church in the town square. Now having good microbrew at 11:00pm & enjoying good internet.

Glad to see you bearing up under the tremendous strain you are under. I mean, how could you find good coffee in Rome of all places?
Did you tell us about a first encounter with pickpockets?

Italian coffee is consistently good, but rarely *Great*.
No, will wait until I have expended all pickpocket opportunities.
