I woulda been better if you’d attribute it to Bowie.
Because blades.
After a few hours sleep, I’ll be back at the venue for grands and seminars. My Shifu’s seminar is on qinna (joint locks) and I’m debating about taking it. He’s got some crazy qinna skills - he once showed me a thumb lock that was so painful that it’d just drop anyone but I never quite got it. But I may be obligated to shoot pix. We shall see.
But I can sleep in a bit this morn. Checkout isn’t until noon and the seminars don’t start until 2 or so. I’ll prolly rise with the sun like usual, and head over to catch the grands. Not gonna set my alarm tho…
Then I must garner a ride to the Houston airport for a 4+ hour flight back to sjc, then drive home and sleep it off…

See, if you don't read the Yeti's previous post you can wonder why DM is talking about David Bowie.....
Drive to LA to start film week. Still debating whether I cancel my Jade Egg lady. Getting a lot of weird vibes from her sector.

What did you expect from a jade egger? Don’t wimp out. It’s just iron vagina. You got this!
Have a safe drive. Good luck!

Still awake after a very long weekend but not for much longer. Good to be home in my own bed.
I swapped tomorrow for next Sunday because there was talk of having me for an extra day in Houston. Glad I dodged that bullet. Glad to have the day off from YMAA. I’ll spend the day sorting some work for KFM, DoG & GG, but mostly resting and mourning Phil. Maybe I’ll go to the beach. I should do some laundry and unpack. It’s a rest & recoup day.

Going to breakfast at the Pantry with Mr. Wolff. Started the day with a long dog walk with a dog who doesn't get long dog walks. She kept trying to tell me I had missed the turn to go back to the house. The rest of the day will be sorting out the interviews.

I had an amazing breakfast at Seabreeze - they had grilled Ono & eggs as a special today and that was one fat slab of fish. I'm still stuffed but I should eat lunch soon.
Trying hard not to work but there's dangling tasks and my work wall calendar is staring me in the face with all this stuff I'm supposed to do over the next two weeks. No rest for the wicked.

3 meetings: 1 Skype, 1 2 hour goto, 1 in-person, all in a row, but at least it doesn’t start until 10. Then I’m headed to mom’s to pay her care center, deal with the replaced fence lock and city tree trimming street closure. Plus there’s work to do.
This week is super packed with a tornado of flying axes. So is next week because my shifu comes. And that’s a total wild card.

Lots of thumb twiddling as I wait for tomorrow's interview. I can only go over the questions so many times. It would be nice to actually get the address to where I'm going. Deal with my mother's current insanity. I also have an email from Sandy Tu to look at. She wants to know why we are making this documentary.

Yes. Why are you making this documentary? We’re all wondering. It’s like the elephant penis in the room.
I head to Tiger Claw for a quick drive by, then home to work all day and then some. Much needs to be put in place. This morning’s work must be redone after this morning’s email. Then I must load up Spam well into next week. And sort some interview questions.

I blame DM. He's the enabler. He's the one who introduced us. He made me film him. Therein lies the blame.

Charging all my batteries. Might have to buy new ones since the brand new rechargeable batteries all decided not to work during yesterday's shoot. Heading over to dine with Scapino. He also has some plan for me to help him his Halloween directions. Although, isn't that why you have kids to make them do that sort of crap?
Already planning on my restless brain for Tu Interview eve.

Happy Halloween!
I’ve got 2 YMAA telemeets with an interview with the Cobra Kai showrunners sandwiched in between. Then I’ll tuck into work like usual. Then tonight I have a ticket to the China Cats, a grateful homage band, downtown. Need to put some finishing touches on my costume. My skull mask gave up the ghost at this show last year so o picked up a cheap new one at Walgreens on Tuesday night after visiting the cfs. I need to add a glitter tear for Phil.
