Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps
Monday blues. All work. Lots of work. It's a big week and I gotta get a lot in place. One telemeet soon.

And laundry. yay.

Today is Stacy's last day at Well Within. When she started there, it was a great spa, but the owner is battling cancer and has let a micromanager with no people skills takeover. A lot of practitioners have left and there's a new reception crew every month. She'd been down to only one day a week, and now she's done. She'll focus on her private clients, plus leaving the well means she can take on clients here in the Cruz.

Congratulations to Stacy for making the big decision to go solo. I wish her all of the luck as I know she has all of the skill.

Today our 29th anniversary.

Got a telemeeting in a few, then work as always, then need to run errands to the post office, grocery & office supply. Then we’ll go out to dinner at some yet to be determined restaurant.

Then maybe finish s2 of OMitB.

DM - you didn't work the Korn/Gojira show at Shoreline. I thought you would want to after the Olympics. Although I can understand wanting to miss Korn.

I was originally scheduled to work XG tonight with Tara. But it worked better for her school schedule to work it tomorrow night (they added a second show after the first sold out) so I switched. And I can't get out that often. Come on now. I iz old.

We went to Sugo, a short walk from our bungalow. Italian pasta place next to our new iaido dojo. Very good. Reminded me of Rome. I drank too much Pinot Grigio.

Big day today. First some work (there's always work) then over to svale to check on some work we had done on my mom's house and visit her, then up to SF. If there's enough time, I'll check in with SFMTA to see if they've cleared my ticket yet (I was double ticketed for the same parking violation when I went to the Chinese consulate - paid one and got the other waived but they're still billing me. I've filed a protest...again). Then pickup falafels and meet Tara for XG at BGC. Afterwards, I'll take her back to her place and head back to my mom's for the night.

Got a telemeeting first thing, then across hwy17 to get home just in time for my 2nd telemeeting. I just realized that I updated my telemeeting background so no one can tell where I'm at. That was smart of me. I was just playing with the settings when our telemeeting program was updated.

Got to finish an article (final proof) and deliver a bio and pic for my new employer.

Iaido tonight.

My remote day - check the email and read the news. Maybe practice the uke a little. Then walk the dogs and go to the used bookstore. Christina is off early, so we're going to Costco. That'll be the highlight of my day probably.

Worked until midnight last night, stayed up until 4:30am, slept until 11:00, then dental check-up, a little Blue Angels, then coffee, and now back at work. Tonight is a Harriett Night, so looking forward to that.

Enjoying my verve oat milk capp
Then home to work a bit
Then back to the Monterey fairgrounds for Worlds Away, a new (and somewhat questionable) EDM fest. Planning to camp there this time - last campout for 2024 (I think…)

Took the day off and we went to the De Young for the members' preview of the Tamara de Lempicka show. Recommended if you like Art Deco. Some of the drawings were stunning and stole the show. Plus a couple of pieces by her teacher Andre Lhote that I enjoyed seeing.

As we left, there was a Navy brass ensemble in the bandshell playing jazz/funk and they were good, so we got a couple of pretzels and watched for a while. The sousaphone worked better than I thought it would have.
