Sheltering in Place
Today is Operation Bad Mouth, stage 1 of the Massive Mouth Infrastructure Improvement. 2 hours in the chair, losing 3 teeth, gaining some bone-grafts.

Yippee.

Sounds like a party.

In your honor, I'm going to the dentist next week. I'm sure you are happy to know you are living your life as any object lesson to others.

Dental health = mental health

Good luck! and don't forget to put teeth under your pillow for the tooth fairy!

My two later meetings were cancelled so I’m going eat sweets in honor of Yeti’s mouth fixing.

Oh wait, I’m diabetic. Never mind.

Recoverin’. Almost no sleep last night, just from general discomfort. It was a solid 2 hours in the chair. My main doc would sometimes tag in his dad, The Top Doc, so no rest for yeti. 1 tooth cooperated, the other 2 really wanted to stay. They came out in pieces. After that, scraping out the infection, then the bone grafts, then a shit-ton of sutures. Overall much more invasive and rough than getting wisdom teeth pulled. 0/10, would not recommend.

The pain is being managed well (I’ve postponed them this morning — let’s see how long I can hold off). Today it is the side-effects of the Percocet and the large amounts of antibiotic that have me staying home. Dizziness & nausea.

Ouch. That made me wince just reading it. Heal strong, brother.

Recover from a day in the creek clearing brush and poison oak. I just better have a stream this winter.

Today I think I picked the last fig of the season. The two left on the tree look like they won't ripen.

There’s a lovely haiku eager to emerge from that statement.

Monday blues. Maybe I have two telemeets. Maybe the home office will be distracted by a major inventory delivery that was supposed to happen last Thursday and my meetings will be postponed again.
