Sheltering in Place
We're headed to our nephew's in San Mateo. Hoping their children aren't too wild. (One of them has a bad impulse control problem and I'm still not sure he isn't a sociopath.)

Went to coffee and food at Voyager this morning, and then did some collage work.

Picking up my mom and taking her to a fancy afternoon T-day dinner at some place in Menlo Park. Terra is house sitting in SF and will come up to meet, so it's a half-way point.

Then, we're heading up to SF too, for a weekend getaway. Going to the Guo Pei exhibit at the legion of Honor one day and SF MOMA another.

Nice, TG! I actually have 4 days off. Me & H will stay in town, visit with friends, and sneak off to give her an epee lesson at some point. Sleeping late and strolling to coffee or beer is most of the plan

So we went to Menlo Tavern at Stanford Park Hotel for a prix fix. It was excellent. We took photos before and after next to the ivy and under the palms. On or way out, I was struggling to do a selfie of the 4 of by the fountain. 49er Jerry Rice walked past and offered to take the picture for us.

FTW

nope. I was respecting his privacy. That's the closest I've been to a super bowl ring

My plans for the weekend have narrowed considerably. Directv is airing all its premium channels for free. I will be scouring to find movies I want to see but haven't been available on HBO. Last night I recorded the latest Spiderman and Ghostbusters and then we watched Spiderman last night. I also recorded a Brian Cranston movie called "Bob and Marge go Large" Bob figures out a loophole in the Lottery and wins a lot of money. Today I found The Green Knight. I will continue to search!

Went to the SJMade Holiday sale (which for some reason is at the Santa Clara Convention Center). I was disappointed. Too much didn't seem to be handmade, or was by out of area makers, and there was way too much anime and Hello Kitty style stuff that all looked the same after a while. I was hoping for some good stickers for my sketchbook but found nothing.

Slept late, did an epee lesson with H (her physical therapy has paid off) coffee at Andytown, abortive stroll on the Tunnel Tops at Crissy Field (abandoned due to presence of crowds) back to H’s nest to pack up her freezer; her fridge died last night after the dinner finished — a noble end.

After filling the freezer in my cave, head to my local for a gnosh and a beer, a stroll in my hood, then back to H’s nest for leftovers from the still chill-but-dead fridge. I have 2 more days of doing nothing, which I am not used to and it makes me pensive.

Sat - with my daughter and a friend that lives on 25th in tow: lunch at Kokari, then over to SFMOMA for the Rivera exhibit, then to Bix for dinner and drinks. Then to our friend's to visit. I was really hoping I could say we bumped into Lou Ferrigno or some other celeb and he took a group photo for us, but no...

Today: brunch at the Presidio Officers Club then Guo Pei at the Palace of Legion of Honor

Kokari is good eats -- enjoy!

Work day for H, lazy day for me. Buy some ice for the coolers we're using due to dead fridge. Maybe hit Andytown grand opening on Great Highway.
