Ever spend the morning building an excel file for work, only to make a previous mistake in the process and not realize it until you're way too deep to recover from it without losing a ton of work.
That's my morning. One key slip that I didn't correct at the time. So now I'm rebuilding it all.

Never mind. My mom's doc called to cancel. She is sick and her husband has a fever.

I swear every single road on my route today was rerouted due to being under construction. The postal snafu took forever to sort (long line) and then when I went to mail my mom’s subscription for readers digest, the freakin envelope wouldn’t seal.
I’m just gonna hide for the rest of the day…

I'm kind of surprised that Reader's Digest is still out there.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

A few of the people who read it are still alive...like my mom.
Man, I cannot even begin to describe the kerfuffles we've had at work (YMAA) this week. Just crazy miscommunications...

Sure we are. Explain to me how my hard drive in my RAID just failed. You know, the one where I keep all my photos?
Or maybe our lives aren't governed by the stars.
Nope. It's better to blame our problems on something than giving in to the harsh realization our existence is purely random chance.

That’s just another ‘shit happens’ thang. Mercnret only counts during mercnret. Shit always happens, regardless.

LCF did a bit of shopping today. When done, she pulled into the garage and shut the Prius off. Whereupon the Prius went dark. No electrical power. Couldn't lock the doors, or open the trunk, or restart the car. Had to call AAA again. Once more the 12-volt tested fine. He rehooked it up, and power restored. He had lots of theories, and is experienced (20 years at AAA), but I'm just not buying any of it. None of it holds up to logic.
We need to get another car soon.
On the positive side, the Prius had the problem once LCF got home. Merc in Ret must have hiccupped.

It’s only just begun.
My mom’s caretaker texted to tell me that my mom had red eyes and a scratchy throat. There were a lot of visitors to the home over Xmas but she tested negative for Covid. Might just be allergies. My mom is convinced she doesn’t have any allergies because she never has had them (except for sensitive skin - she breaks out with scented soaps and lotions) but I think she’s got some now.

Stacy went all the way to Tola Whole Foods to take advantage of some sale items not here at our local (which is walkably close). We’re stockpiling for the bomb cyclone like you do. She uses the curbside which is one of the few positive things that came out of the pandemic. But they missed a bag. A rookie mistake, the manager said. Now she must go back to Tola in the storm.

And of course, my Mac is being fussy. The mouse powered down (recharging) and in that process, my Mac rebooted, which is an annoyingly slow process.
