Sheltering in Place
867/60 - get up early and drive to tuolumne, stage the car, catch yart to mammoth. We’ll be at a hotel for the first night so I’ll likely be able to post again but I might not to conserve power because my iPhone is my camera and I’m not packing my charger so I need to make the charge last until we come out on Friday. My phone will be off (no reception anyway) except for taking pix.

Wish me luck. Catch ya on the other side, assuming I survive.

Sounds like you need one of those little folding solar panels.

Sounds like you need a sherpa to haul your gear and keep your phone charged.

Good luck!

Or a batman, as the English officers had in WWI. (I always thought it was batsman, but it isn't.)

Perhaps there will be some RM opportunities there...

I assume DM has had to deal with talking down bears once or twice in the past.

I think there are more bears near where the Yeti lives than in Santa Cruz

Kung Fu, clean & stow gear, catch up on 200+ emails (not including my work account - I’ll do that tomorrow), do the math to figure out what day I’m on here…

874/67: Back to work. I already nibbled on some KFM tasks last night (anither 209+ emails on top of 200+ personal emails). Today will largely be YMAA tasks. I have pieces due for unesco & den by week’s end too. And I still haven’t unpacked my pack. I bailed on yesterday - just napped and ate. Still working at getting my hydration right again.

875-68: Mondays after a vacation always suck but I’m counting yesterday as my Monday since I went back to work. I have deadlines for 4 of my jobs this week. I had hoped to get farther yesterday but my sleep cycle is off and I crashed early only to wake up twice already and realize it wasn’t nearly as late as I thought. I should work now but I think I’m just going to pee then go back to sleep.

Last two-day weekend finishes today. It was a nice couple of months.

877/70 work, go home, work some more

Debating over dropping the denominator of my count up here. I’m still in pain but it’s been more manageable. I’ve kept my NSAIDs down and am relying mainly on the triptylene. Also added a cbd salve (effin spelchuk tried to change salve to slave but I caught it). Ducking spelchuk.
