I understood. My cynicism says they won't be built because they won't make enough money on the units.

Well, this isn't a franchise, nor is it from my youth. It's the reason we moved here...

Quote:Dear PCC Community,
We thank you for your patience and understanding during our extended closure and deeply value all of you who have reached out to show support. We feel so much gratitude for this loving community we have all built over these past years.
The circumstances around COVID have presented our community with exceptional challenges and it has become increasingly apparent that though we have dedicated volunteers, the requirements for effectively managing and sustaining PCC into the future are beyond the means of our organization. After much consideration our governing board, the Hanuman Fellowship, has recently reached the decision to list the Pacific Cultural Center (PCC) for sale.
Our deepest appreciation goes to all those who have helped sustain and given so much meaning to PCC and this community over the years. We are planning a special celebration sometime in June to remember, and honor all that this spiritual home has meant to so many.
If you know of someone who might be interested in purchasing the property, please contact Main Street Realtors, datta@mainstreetrealtors.com (831) 818-0181.
Meanwhile, please consider a visit or program at Mount Madonna Center mountmadonna.org a retreat, educational, and conference center also sponsored by Hanuman Fellowship on 375 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
With gratitude for the gifts we have received,
Pacific Cultural Steering Committee &
Hanuman Fellowship Board of Directors
PCC is a short walk from our bungalow and the last stop on the bus to Mt Madonna (or as I call it 'Mt Mad). We relocated to the Cruz so Tara could attend Mt. Mad for high school and our bungalow is only two blocks away from PCC, a 4-min walk as Stacy says. PCC is a beautiful multifunctional studio space. Stacy attended regular yoga classes there up until the pandemic. I dropped into a few, as well as some kirtans, talks and other odd events. And of course, Tara went there to the bus stop almost every school day until she learned to drive.
We are heartbroken at the loss. I only hope something cool moves in, but PCC set a high bar.

So, stop eating and buy the place.

Aphasia is a terrible thing. That’s what my dad had for the last 10+ years of his life after his stroke. So tragic.

ATTENTION KOFY TV-20 VIEWERS:
The last episode of Creature Features to be broadcast on KOFY will be on Saturday April 9th. The week after this, KOFY will change its format to an all-western motif. We wish KOFY the best of luck with this new endeavor. Our friends at home who watch on KOFY should visit our website to see all of the alternate options they have to view our program, including on other stations in the Bay Area, YouTube, Roku and AppleTV to name a few.

Sad news...
(03-28-2013, 02:12 PM)Drunk Monk Wrote: As a side note, I won a KOFY TV 20 shirt at this screener. They were sponsoring the sneak and tossing out tchotchkes. The first question was who the hosts of the late Sat nite horror Creepy KOFY TV 20 show were. I knew, but didn't say. I have a ton of shirts. I'm looking at getting rid of a footlocker's worth of shirts. But no one could answer and I felt bad because it's a great show. Well, not great, but I watch it because sometimes, on a late Sat nite, nothing satisfies like cheesey horror. So I won the shirt. I'm wearing it now. It's a little snug.
Also yesterday, G.I. JOE sent me a Snake Eyes mask as part of a bribe...er, promotion...for this film. It was too small for me so I gave it to one of our graphic artists who has a little boy. He thought his kid would love it.
I still have that KOFY shirt. I like it because it's a bright blue and makes me feel like a local. And I was into Creepy KOFY back in the day.
Damn, that was almost 10 years ago...
