I already am soft...soft like melted butter. 

I was texting with an RM friend just now. She's a former latex/dom model. She was watching Age of Samurai and texting me her reactions. She knew several of the cast from other K-dramas they've been in (she's Korean) and made some comment that one of the stars 'was hot when he was young' to which I replied 'we all were' and she replied back that we're 'soft like melted butter' now. 

Not sure why I shared this. I'm going to say that I just scored a nice quick writing gig for a new outlet and I'm warming up my keyboard. I think I'm warm... like melted butter.

Don't have that pan anymore and can't really remember it. For popcorn, Christina usually melts a little in a small bowl in the microwave.

And we're back. 

So Tiger Claw paid me twice. I'm paid by direct deposit and two payments showed up. It was very confusing. I decided the best thing was to report it and was told by our payroll person that her computer crashed mid transfer. She didn't know if it went through so she did it again. Consequently, I'll skip next pay period. Man, I hope she doesn't do that with vendors. That was day 1.

On Sunday, I sent out a PR blitz for the next title I'm slinging, and attached the wrong document. I meant to attach the book cover but I attached an article. Bother.

My mom's heater just stopped functioning. Why she needs her heater in June is beyond me but it made her ask me about it repeatedly while I've been trying to work. 

This MercRet period will cross our upcoming trip to San Diego for Tara's graduation.

I had the craziest time trying to order a graduation lei from my mom to Tara. First I couldn't sort the florist website, but if I just followed Stacy's instructions, I wouldn't have bothered. Then trying to explain the process to my mom was a challenge so I just took over. Then I called and they said they weren't sure they would have enough to fill the order and would call back. Then they called back but I missed it somehow. Then I forgot to call them back the following day because I was just juggling too many axes at work and dropped that personal one. Then I lost sleep over it last night feeling guilty that work made me forget my obligation to my family. I called again today first thing and the florist said 'Sure! We can do it. Bye!' and hung up. Then I asked Stacy if she paid for the lei that she ordered from us. Then Stacy snapped at me because she was in a rush to get to work and WTH is my problem with ordering the lei? Then I called back and gave them my mom's credit card info. 

I hope there will be a lei to pick up next week. It will mean a lot to Tara and my mom.

There was a fatality on HWY17 yesterday. I left early to pick up my mom to dodge beach traffic and then realized that most beachgoers didn't even make it over due to the accident. And on the way home, I got stuck in the remainder of that accident. It took all day to clear it. Whilst stuck, I wrote this haiku:

Purportedly, a septic truck coming down Black Rd lost its brakes and landed on HWY 17 SB. The septic truck landed on a pickup, killing the driver.

I made a major mistake the last time I updated the announcements for the KFM forum and lost a key section - the sales section. Spent most of the morning trying to repair it. 

It's still not right - there's some weird coding glitch and you know what a bitch those can be to track down (assuming of course that you work with code which includes pretty much all of DOOM except for Yetis with careers locked in the 16th century). I found one glitch - a missing " - but I can't find the other(s). 

I'm giving up now because I have to move on to other work and this has already cost me too much time.

Fuck. 

I forgot to return my mom's credit card to her. She lets me use it to buy her groceries. I need to go back tonight and return it. Tomorrow is a full day and we leave on Friday.
