Maeve decided she needed her full walk this morning in the rain. Dani stopped at the porch and went back inside. I finally convinced Maeve that I had had enough rain about a mile from the house. She was ready to continue. I don't think I've ever taken Dani or Maeve to the snow. Preston and Cuchulain loved it.
The majority of the cats experienced their first rain this morning. They were less than pleased. Most of the Destruction that resides in the studio did not venture out this morning and accepted their breakfast in bed.

We are officially snowed in.
The snow is supposed to cease in a few hours and locals predict the roads will be clear by tomorrow. We plan to hit the road around 9ish and make it for Lynch Lair. I will update, of course.
This has been a most stressful 'vacation.' 2020 amirite?

If it was easy, it just wouldn't be 2020.

Tara & Bri made a run for it. They’ve made it to town already. They should be okay. Once they clear the 203 it should be smooth.
Still snowing here although lightly. Been constant all day.
They’re on the 395. 6 hours of desert driving and they’ll be home again.

Good to hear they made it back safely.
Hope all goes well for you getting to Lynch Lair. That's tomorrow, right?

Today.
We’ll probably leave Mammoth around 9ish. Give the roads a chance to defrost. It’s not far as the crow flies but a good seven hours because we’re not crows. The north passage is closed due to a forest fire from the huge winds so we must go south, but that was our plan anyway because we had such issues going north getting here.

It should be a really beautiful drive down the 395 through the Owens Valley and such.
The drive North up 99, not so much. See you when I see you.

Where the hell is DM? Why hasn't he posted?
Oh, that's right. He's fast asleep.

DM *sleeping*?
That's probably an alien imposter

242: I started the day with a lovely cup of English Breakfast, sitting in my morning sunny spot, listening to Stacy practice piano, playing fetch with Yuki, and pensively watching the steam curls off my mug. Got to grab those moments of peace nowadays, and hug them tightly.
Today is all about writing - for YMAA & Den (Den is a screener review - yay! - plus finishing up my Warrior run of reviews - doubleplusyay!) So that's 4 articles: the 1st half done, the 2nd needs to be screened, the 3rd & 4th maybe 2/3rds done or so). There's some TCEOC (Tiger Claw Elite ONLINE Championships) management. That's been a pain in the ass, more so than anticipated.
I composed a parody post about my Mammoth>Lynch Lair journey. My mind does that when juggling several writing tasks - it goes off on some other random one. We'll see if I can get around to that at some point before I forget it.
Other than that, there's a dog walk, a bath, and the finale to Roadkill tonight.

244: Some work for KFM (tceoc), a stop by TC to pick up a handmedown PC, take my mom to the dentist again (her teeth are bad), get her groceries and do her chores, then write - the YMAA piece just needs polish, the Den pieces need work.
