Every planet in our solar system retrogrades. It’s a fix that ancient astronomers developed to explain the orbital patterns going backwards because they believed everything revolves around the earth. There are astrological properties attributed to every retrograde, particularly Saturn, but none is as disruptive and notorious as mercury. I don’t know why. It’s astrology.

Sigh. Another castle of sand crumbles. I was of the belief that it was only the planets between us and the sun did the retrograde thing. Stop Orbital mechanics.

I was just getting back into the public library. I used to work at Svale Pub in their media center. We had just got CDs in and I oversaw the 3 rental computers and the VHS collection. It was a very mellow job. Except for when we were bored and hacked into the Svale Police system and then couldn't figure out how to get out. This was the 80s before firewalls.
I called Svale pub. The nice gentleman who answered refered me to the Homebound service. I called that. Their message says that delivery is suspended indefinitely (hasn't been updated since March). I left a message. I should just call my mom and get her Library card number then I could do it online. But as merc goes, this is a classic and not overly detrimental.

Merc is the smallest planet and closest to the sun so it goes in and out of retro a lot, a few times every year (3X for 2020) for a month plus. Some of the other planets are in retro for many months but only once a year.
Planetary retros for 2020:
Venus = 5/13-6/25
Mars = 9/9-11/14
Jupiter = 5/14-9/13
Saturn = 5/11-9/29
UrANUS = 1/11-8/15
Neptune = 1/23-11/29
Pluto = 4/25-10/4
I've been toying with becoming an astrologer. I've written Kung Fu Horoscopes for a decade. Sure, sure, it was translated from a real Feng Shui master, but I think I get it well enough to prognosticate. That master gave effed up predictions and G2 translated them horribly so I did most of the heavy lifting (made stuff up). I thought that might make a good side hustle as part of a Feng Shui biz. I got so many dumb Feng Shui stories... I'm sure I've related a few here already.

I got a very nice phone call from svale pub. Everything is resolved. They are a great library and I'm proud to have been employed there so many years ago.

So our KFM IT has been busily rebuilding websites that aren't broken. He just sent me one that has been low priority, but I need to be mindful of my bosses nowadays because being Ronin, you just gotta do that more than ever, ya know? The site gave me one of those redirect errors and chrome said I should clear my cookies. I dutifully followed the directions provided by chrome because I was rushing to deal with something I didn't really want to deal with at the moment and unwittingly hit that clear all, which deleted all my autofill passwords too. I've been restoring all of those for the last hour. I have an insane number of passwords now. Insane.

I got LastPass to solve that problem. Now I'm convinced that a password program is the way to go.

Future tip: Try connecting in "Private Browsing/Incognito" mode which should bypass any local data/cookies for the temporary session, but leave them there for other active browsing sessions, or future sessions.
+1 on Password keepers. I have 1Password, LastPass, and the iCloud Keychain sync. I use iCloud for work stuff, between work machines because "cool-aid". It's not x-platform, or even x-browser. I use 1Password for personal. It costs $ and I only use it because I got a free copy through work. I also use LastPass because it's the best free alternative. YMMV, that stuff changes all the time. Integration with your tools and ease of use, is key and a lot of tools just don't hit that bar.
