So maybe that's why you telepathically passed her off to me? Actually I don't think it was Sabrina. It was some random fencer but upon waking, I attributed Sabrina to her because that's the only young fencer I know.
Whatev. I'm sure you're reassured to learn that PPFY is still the maestro of DM's dreams.
In knickers, no less.
DM, on the other hand, is extremely disturbed to discover this and is now on a whiskey drinking binge to purge the notion from his broken mind.

Carry on self-medicating. Use only as directed
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Last night's takeaway was the kitten with the scorpion tale. It was very friendly.

I'm not even going to tap my psychology degree to psychoanalyze such obvious symbolism. Call me back when you dream of octopus.

I've been dreaming a lot during the SIP, even though I have not been sleeping well. I've only been averaging one sleep cycle a night, although I've been forcing myself to get a second one in because why bother getting up early?
Most of my dreams have been taking place in concert or music festival settings. Typically, I get those when I'm jonezing to get to a show. It's like my batlight - my subconcious telling me to get out. Stacy usually kicks me out of the house and sends me on my way when this happens. I get iritable, like any junkie missing their fix.
My last concert was Sinead in mid-Feb. That was awesome.
My last RM gig was BOO! last Halloween. That was mediocre. It was in the wake of Dan's passing and the show and crew were lame.
My last JM gig was the 4/20 show last year. That was also awesome and I was really looking forward to reuniting the Jedi Bunny Krew this year, even though it wouldn't have fallen on Easter. But I let go of that months ago.

DM and I are flying somewhere. Without an airplane. You know, one of those dreams where I can fly just by thinking it. They're always fun, invigorating, free-spirited.
We're flying somewhere we've been before, and it involves topping a mountain ridge or tall buildings or something. "I don't recall it being so high," I say, because we're struggling to get sufficient lift to top the barrier, and it's coming up on us all too fast. Then we're up and over and onward, and all is well, except for a couple of big glowing objects coming towards us.. We have to veer aside, and it's not easy, I'm struggling to make a sufficient veer.
Then comes the crash, and I wake up. I twisted a bit in bed, and the writing board and 200-page manuscript I'm trying to read for an upcoming workshop (to be conducted via Zoom for the 1st time) have fallen to the floor with a clatter. It's a great novel, by the way. Outstanding. I'm blown away by it. Still, that doesn't prevent me from nodding off these days.
Anyway, it was great to be flying again, while it lasted, and it was an honor to have DM as my wingman. Or maybe I was the wingman, in which case...
Where might we have been headed, DM?

Not to a concert.
It was more like Greek myth...

Dan paid me a visit last night. I had a long and difficult trip to get to some sort of convention, and when I got there, Legbone was sitting in a director's chair by the entrance. He looked calmer than he ever used to. In the dream I knew he was dead, but I said "How's your back?" and he said "Healed right up." Then things got fuzzy but I think he created a diversion so I could get in. I should have asked a better question.

Dm dreamt he was at some psychedelic jam band show. Phish maybe? Dead & Co? That didn't matter but he was with one of his partners in crime, Dirty Ho. And Dirty, he was rolling a big ol' J, as is his habit. Dm was pondering what to do and that conflict made most of the emotional content of this dream.
Dm has ceased smoking since the New Year. That wasn't any sort of resolution, mind you, just happenstance. He didn't do anything for the February Bob Marley celebrations and then Covid hit and he didn't want to be that coughing Asian, and then he lost his job. Dm thinks he'd trigger intense paranoia if he smoked now, not just because he's unemployed but what with what's happening with covid plus the elections. It's just not a good time.
This was likely triggered by Stacy catching the neighbor son smoking a j in the backyard garden when retrieving Yuki recently. He tried to hide it, which Stacy found amusing.
This is probably the longest period Dm has gone without smoking since he began. There was a half year break in '91 prepping to compete in China with the cfs, as well as other breaks of a season or so, but nine months is unprecedented.
Will Dm smoke again? Probably. It does give great inspiration. Maybe it'll be in celebration of securing a full time job again. Definitely when covid goes away. Assuming of course that those events happen.

I am Rollin Hand (Martin Landau's character from Mission Impossible). I am on a mission where I'm impersonating a prisoner to get another prisoner to talk - his name is Jimmy Sleeves (no idea where that comes from). He's in one of those solitary cells with just an eye slot and food tray slot. It's a dingy prison, like something out of a horror film. I butter him up outside the cell, claiming I'm a huge fan. He finally relents and opens the eye slot but before I get a chance to see him, my dog wakes me up barking at something.

DM and I are waiting for some event (probably a concert) to start. And we are flipping through our old ticket stubs. Then the alarm went off.

DM, what's with this naming of characters in your dreams? I mean, how do you haul that back up to your waking state? I can't even do simple math in my dreams. There's been a couple of occasions where I thought I dreamed in color, but even that is debatable.
I can understand names of people you know occurring in dreams. But fictitious ones?
You're getting really deep into some alternate state.

I dunno, man. It was odd on several levels.
