This was a bit of all right. I think we all know John William's music and this was a really good overview, hitting all the high notes of his really long career. They give a good account of his upbringing and what made him a composer. I kept thinking his first bit was the theme to Lost in Space, but he did a ton of work before then. Great bunch of talking heads from the ones you expect to the ones you don't, but seem so right when you hear them.
You get a sense that he is a beloved and revered figure. I seem to remember a time in the 1980s/1990s when his reputation wasn't quite so stellar. I guess you have to really look at the whole to see what a tremendous achievement his life has been so far.
On a personal note, don't watch a really well made documentary when you are in the middle of struggling through putting your own documentary together. It's not pretty.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
