I don't see the similarity.
I come and go with Luc Besson. This film really only worked for me as the breakout for Milla. She was such an ingénue here.
I rewatched part of this recently. It was amusing but not enough to sit through it all again.

Nope on the resemblance. I do like this movie a lot. The visuals are *great* and the social satire is gentle.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
