My American Family (Amazon Prime 2019)

DM, did you know about this?(Of course you knew) Danny Trejo and Victor Migalchan made a TV show? It looks like only one episode, but still. (I'm down a rabbit hole and I stumbled across this)

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

OMG

I did not know. I kinda wish I never knew.

I'm going to have to get into the right mindset to watch this. It'll take a lot of whiskey. Like enough to make me pass out so I can't watch this.

Thanks?

I think they only made the pilot. I hope they only made the pilot. I don't know if I can watch it, alcohol or no (We could do a watch party!)

Victor is sketchy, right?

Ha. A watch party. I'd totally DOOM that. If there was whiskey.

Yeah, Victor is a martial narcissist of the highest order. One of those dudes that's so full of himself and always has his hand out begging for more from me. I've been done with him for years. He reaches out to me regularly on LinkedIn, asking me to get him coverage on Den of Geek now.

He just cannot keep his shirt on. And judging from this pic, he's losing is definition, so he should really change gears soon.

G2 still gives him face because she's gullible that way. Some martial artists totally shit on her and she doesn't get it. It came up again for our online tournament, at which point, I realized that it's no longer my problem. I still respect her for her work ethic, but I no longer feel I have to defend her in the martial world as vigorously.

Not poaching this for KFM. Leaving it to starve in the rat trap of DOOM. But it'll probably gnaw its own leg off and escape.

Isn't there always whiskey?

I had the same thought about VM's lack of definition as well. But I am not one to call the kettle black. Something about glass houses.

From looking at the website (I dove deep) I'm going to say VM got some Chinese money man to front them the money for the pilot. Tell me how it is once you see it. I can compare it to my preconceived notions.

I find myself in this strange position where I'm paid to watch stuff repeatedly - most recently, I'm deep in the Cobra Den. So now, when I watch stuff for my own pleasure, well, it's not going to be this. He was hustling up funds from somewhere - maybe PRC. They luv big white dudes that luv wushu. He reached out to TC for money several times. At one TCEC - maybe you were there - he made a show of presenting G2 with his videos and such, much to the amusement of the wulin watching. I remember Emilio mocking it loudly later.

He first came to TCEC because some woman was promoting him. She was clearly under his spell, clearly financing him, and he was clearly out of her league. He was obviously using her and she was the only one who couldn't see it. I remember her squealing when he took his shirt off in the demo at Cesar Chavez. Maybe you caught that on vid, Greg? He eventually tossed her to the curb and she came to me with a sob story, but I wasn't compassionate enough to listen. I think we're still friends on fb. Maybe you are too.

Maybe you watch it first and tell me?

I did video the Cesar Chavez demo. He did a big speech at the end, if I recall correctly. I also did that demonstration video of him down in LA for the Mag.

I'm a big white dude who likes wushu. Why doesn't the PRC give me money? And by liking Wushu, I mean, if they gave me money I would like it a lot.

I was thinking since your co-star Danny Trejo was in it, you would watch it first.

That part kinda pisses me off. No way he knew Danny. He's not tuned into who Danny is at all. He stalks my social media. I'm sure he got the lead from me. That makes it even harder to watch for me.
