Kanopy-ed this French spy spoof. Jean Dujardin takes a French swipe at Sean's Bond, and if you know Sean's Bond, it's pretty good. He nails Sean's eyebrows and body attitudes, caricaturing them for comic effects. Jean's take is like Michael Scott of The Office - boorish, self-centered, NPC. It kind of works. Some of the humor is French and therefore not that funny. There's this strange homophobic take and much discussion of weenies (kiki in French?) But the film nails the style of those original Bond flicks. My favorite part was the fight scene, which parodied Sean's Bond fights in a subtle yet lampooning way.
No sword fights. Mildly DOOM recommended for Sean fans. I'm told there's a sequel (which I doubt I'll watch) and a threequel in production.
