Artemis Fowl is Artemis Foul!
Woohoo! I should write headlines.
This film is poor. I don't know what it's supposed to be. Is the story of a boy genius who rebels against society around him. A young boy seeking to rescue his abducted father. The story of the interaction of high tech fairies and our world. Or is it just big steaming pile of poo.
The whole thing is disjointed and illogical. They spend what seems like days doing exposition about what is happening and what is going to happen. Oh, the tedium Towards the end every other minute or so the klaxon warning goes off that the bad thing is about to happen if we don't do something quick. That happens about ten times.
I guess it was aimed at kids but I don't think kids are stupid enough to like. They have Dame Judi Dench in another weird roll hard on the heels of being Old Deuteronomy. Colin Farrel is still looking for a role worthy of his talents and doesn't find it here.
It's a mess.
