I knew some of the story from being in the yoga circles, but we were Iyengar devotees, which is a different school. That being said, we've tried Bikram. I liked it. The sequence, combined with the heat, it was like doing yoga and being in a sauna. I do like it hot. For some of the beginning, we were like 'didn't know that. wow' but then by the end, we understood why. Scandals like Bikram's make for good docs. It's a shame that he's still on the run and he's still teaching - no doubt his predatory ways are still being enabled. Such is the lack of justice against the rich. I get it though. It reminds me of plenty of martial arts 'gurus' - the power, the cult of personality - and with such a huge payout, I could see where the ego would just explode.
No sword fights. Not particularly DOOM recommended unless you've done Bikram yoga before.
