A series about a French woman, Camille, who gets a call from her estranged father that he is dying and wants her to come see him in Tokyo. It turns out he is a wine connoisseur and she had a falling out over his extreme training of her palette when she was young. In the first episode, she flies out to see him but finds that he's already passed when she arrives and now she has to attend the funeral and the reading of the will. Also attending the reading of the will is a young Japanese man that was one of his most promising students.
The estate will go to one or the other based on a test - who can identify a particular wine. The problem is Camille is unable to drink alcohol.
Apparently, the story is from a long manga series (~30 issues), diluted down to 8 episodes. It's told in French, English, and Japanese. It's well acted and compelling so far.
I've only seen the first two episodes (more to be doled out every Friday), but recommended from what I've seen so far
