I thought DM would have posted this, but he never did.

I always enjoyed his acting, and he had a great voice. I must admit I have a soft spot for Lilies of the Field. It is corny, but it's sweet. And I like the spiritual he sings.

Thought about posting it but there’s just been so much death recently. Glad you did.

They call me Mr. Tibbs stands out as a personal breakthrough film for me in how it treated racism. It was a timing thing - I guess you could say it woke me when I was 8.

Sneakers. It all comes back to Sneakers. And I'm not hearing much about his directing.
