Spring Breakers (2012)
#1
I don't really care for James Franco. In fact, he kind of annoys me. But he's good enough in this film to make me reconsider. This film is like making a brooding art film based on Girls Gone Wild. It almost works. The day-glo neon sensibilities are overdone yet stylish. The powder hallucinations are cool. The drug abuse is herculean. It definitely has some moments. Some great ultravi and lots of bikini action...even some acting. Got really repetitive in an artsy way.

When I saw this a couple months ago, I was thinking, Holy crap, if spring break is anything close to how it's depicted in this movie, there's not going to be any way to control the partying and crowds come the next spring break -- coronavirus be damned.

And so it comes to pass...

My pops logged a lot of airline miles when he was working on a reactor in Switzerland. They were always continental only so he’d never know what to do with them (he’d’ve used the fir hawaii if he could’ve) then he’d let me know that I could have just before they expired.

Once he gave me one just prior to spring break. So I headed to Ft. Lauderdale. All alone. I was in my early 20s.

Hudgen’s character Candy was pretty much Dm’s story. It was uncanny.

Wow that was hard to parse. But I think it had something to do with giving DM airline miles....
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Once again, spelchuck turns my prose into poetry.

The bottom line is when you think of Spring Break & DM, you should think of this:
