Christina wanted to watch this before the Oscars. I didn't but went along with it. We only watched about fifteen minutes. It was crap. Best picture my ass. And her acting was no great shakes either.

She's a stripper/prostitute and he's the son of a Russian oligarch. His character was super stereotypical as the bad english speaking Russian. Not much of any plot, just a lot of them having sex. Christina texted a friend who saw it to see if it got any better and she said no, so we bailed. One of her clients who started it also bailed early on.

Not recommended. Another crap movie wins Best Picture.

Well, shoot. I put this on the list after it won so many awards.

Well you might have a different take on it.

Over the years, though, more than a few crap or quickly forgotten movies have won best picture, so it's no indication of quality.

Well yeah. It's democratic. Just look how our last election turned out. Quality is not the result.
