Those guys were geniuses. THat entire show was a marvel and I’m still amazed that they got away with as much as they did. The tales of their long-running fights with the censors is great.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
