Rest in Power Tony Chee
#1
Tony was the IT guy at YMAA. He had been fighting cancer for the bulk of my watch there.

I got an email reply from one of his relatives informing me that he was no longer with us. I was the first to hear because I worked with him closely on many projects. I got the email just prior to my first telemeet, shared it with the rest of the company, and when I logged on, I could see the shock on my two telemeeter's faces. They are both the founders of YMAA and have known Tony for a long time. They were reeling from the blow. On my last meeting with YMAA's CEO, we were both worried that he had gone radio silent for about 2+ weeks.

Tony was a longtime YMAA instructor, a mountain climber, a bit Spock-ish as IT can be, and lived in Portugal. We connected right away. On our first meeting, he held up his copy of the KFTC sword special, and told me it was his fav issue, which was very endearing. We occasionally chatted about movies and martial arts. He was very grateful that I told him to wait until the final after credit scene of John Wick 4. WE also shared our love of the great outdoors. He was very generous and welcoming with me, even a bit protective when he felt I was getting overloaded with too many projects, being the new guy.

Only 7 full time employees of YMAA remain. Obvs we need an IT person quickly. We're also dealing with some major shortcomings due to an unexpected sales drop, so a lot of things are in play.
