The Special (2020) by Harrison Smith
#1
Jerry is depressed, because he's convinced his wife had an affair.   Don't get angry, just get even, says his friend Mike, meaning to have an affair of his own.  Whereupon Mike offers to take him somewhere to get The Special, and even pay for it.   So, with a sack over his head, Jerry lets Mike drive him to some mysterious place.  It's a psychic reading place, but my, there's a lot of pretty girls gathered downstairs.  Jerry wonders if any of them are The Special.  But no, Madame Psychic takes him upstairs and leaves him in an empty room.  Only it's not entirely empty.  There's this box, and in this box is a hole, and the hole bears the instruction, "Stick it in."

This is where the movie lost me.  One of my major pet peeves is ambiguous pronoun antecedents.  Stick what in!?  My first guess was a pencil.  But Jerry didn't make that choice, and the movie devolved into some statement on the dangers of sex addiction or watching too much porn or something like that.

And to think I'd lined up all these South Korean movies to choose from but stupidly overrode them with this piece of crap.

There needs to be a new thread on movies so godawful you should have given up on them but nonetheless watched to the bitter end.

Tonight I'm thinking of watching IT! (1967).
I'm nobody's pony.
