Morena as a mastermind villainess? I'm so in.
So dumb. Like a CW take on Money Heist done by NBC. Morena is supposed to be Russian and her accent is worse than my fake Russian accent (I don’t do a fake Russian accent at all). The rest of the characters are ridiculous - mostly cops right now but they’re teasing some of the thieves. Each character is a tired stereotype caricature. There’s a disgraced cop with an attitude who is Morena’s adversary in one of those mastermind chess games, but the cop is weak. Don’t know that actress. Don’t care. To oppose Morena, she needs to be better.
The backstory had a decent twist. But it’s silly so far. Morena is a queenpin - she literally tells the cops to ‘bow down to the queen’. And you know what? I’ll bow. I’ll watch another ep, just to see Morena vamp it up with her horrid rusky accent.
Don’t judge.
Seen on peacock aka the worst free streaming service eva.

Dammit. I meant to record this. And now, I won't. But it did have that horrid vibe about it. I hoped Morena could salvage it.

Morena is the only part worth watching here. She looks good in a shimmering blue evening gown while stuck in solitary confinement being interrogated by a bunch of dumb agents. She's playing them but they are too dumb to realize that she is indeed the Queen*.
Fast forward to the Morena scenes.
You can view it for free on Peacock. But like I've said before, Peacock sux. Worst streaming platform eva...
*not to be confused with the D00MtQ.

E2 was just as bad, made worse by Stacy who watched too and could not restrain a torrent of snarky remarks. She acknowledges Morena’s talent from Homeland, arguably her greatest role so far, but couldn’t abide by her on again off again Russian accent.
The show has a rhythm - something happens, but no, it’s a ruse of Morena’s, and the detective solves the clue in the nick of time, only to reveal another clue. I confess, Money Heist was similar, but that show had amazingly complex and intriguing characters, great music, explosive action and an sexy Spanish cast. This just has Morena. No one else is remotely engaging.
E3 is a available but I skipped it… for now.
The peacock app has this glitch where the title an options remain on the screen and only disappear after about ten mins of randomly pressing the trackpad all over the screen. Frustrating.

E3: This is really trying to rip off Money Heist in the way the plot reveals but it misses
Morena’s accent is so bad but we’ll let that slide
Her criminal org is from Ukraine
E4: why am I still watching this
Gawd Morena is hawt.

E5: Man, I watched a lot of mediocre tv tonight. It’s kinda growing on me.
This show took a turn to the gold reserve, again proving my Money Heist theory. Apart from Morena’s horrid Ukrainian accent, she’s chewing up the scenery in hawt outfits with severely red lipstick. She’s a producer of the show. All the other characters are lame.
Why do I persist? Well, Morena. Also I don’t need to tune in that much. The plot is too absurd to bother to try to guess where it’s going except for in the broadest strokes and it doesn’t really matter. It just keeps moving on trying to be clever with Morena’s master plan. I don’t feel obligated to be that engaged, just to pay attention to when Morena is on camera and ogle her smirks. Morena has a nice smirk, made hawter by severely red lipstick.
Don’t judge, mmkay?

Got to e8 somewhere. Well, slept through to it. I got a decent nights sleep last night - first time in weeks it seems, but I’m still behind.
No idea what happened in the last few eps - there was a dumb hostage exchange, a don’t move or you’ll set off the landline scene, a blackout, a prison riot.
One of my Den editors asked if I had anything on this, I don’t.
Now back to sleep.
