Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr

This is the guy that wrote All the Light We Cannot See, which I think won some awards. As he did there, he goes for interlocking story threads around different characters, this time separated in time but connected by a Greek book that gives this book it's title. (The book did really exist but was lost in antiquity. He creates an imaginary version.) We go from Asia Minor in the mid 15th century (two threads), to Idaho at the present time (two threads), and the near future on an interstellar spacecraft (one thread). The author is good at characters, but I almost gave up about a third of the way in because it almost seemed too much of a clever trick and not enough natural connection. I got past that, and it got better and the connections get tighter. Plus there was an interesting twist near the end. Good. Doom recommended? Not sure. The writing is good, and you might enjoy the craft and structure of it. It's much more conventional "literary" fiction than I think most of us normally read. It does read easily - chapters are short, switching between characters, and each longer section is introduced by a page from the Greek book.

Sounds vaguely reminiscent of Cloud Atlas.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Yes, forgot to mention that. Also somewhat like Station Eleven, with a book connecting the characters.
