RIP Commander Cody
#1
I forgot to post this the other day. I had a couple of his albums that I'd picked up at the flea market, and that was probably my first introduction to classic country. There were some great songs on them. And back in the Dr. Demento days, I used to love "Smoke, Smoke, Smoke," "Everybody's Doin' It" and "Hot Rod Lincoln."

Oddly, the video for "Two Triple Cheese, Side Order of Fries" won an Emmy, and is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I didn’t realize he was still alive.

I don’t think I ever saw him live. I cannot remember.

I never saw any mention of him touring out here. I might have gone if I had. I think he just stayed down in Texas.
