A promoter recently contacted me about providing psych care to a reggae fest in Gangarado. That took me a second. The awkward thing for me is when I hear 'ganga' I think of the Ganges river, from whence the slang came. The proper term for the Ganges is Ganga. The slang came from Indian saddhus (as did many rasta terms as saddhus are Shiva worshippers and there's a lot of herb in their rituals).
