Not being able to go to the movies has really crimped this subforum, so I'm posting screeners I see here. Sure, sure, I'm streaming these screeners but there's enough in our streaming subforum already. And screeners are a special perk of my trade.
Let me have this little thing, mmkay?
This was really good. I knew a little about Morita because I tracked all the azn stars active in my youth. There weren't many so it was simple. But there was so much I didn't know. A few moments were genuinely moving. What an exceptional life. What a tragic tortured soul.
There were some superfluous interviews - has been stars who didn't seem to have much connection to Pat. That could've been trimmed. A lot of the story circled around his 3rd wife. There were some solid moments, like the cast of Happy Days talking about being typecast (Winkler was so gracious) and Tommy Chong's ending comment about Pat's pot use was very Chong.
There was a clip of Will Smith and Pat Morita doing a scene which must have been from Fresh Prince that I must track down.
I look forward to interviewing the documenter.
No sword fights but some random swords in random scenes because of his typecasting. DOOM recommended.
