Keira Knightly is the UK whistleblower Katherine Gun based on a true story of a spy who divulges official secrets about the US trying to manipulate the UN vote for the Iraq war. Voldemort is her defense lawyer so HP1. Lots of archival footage of Bush and Blair, and given the state of the world now, it feels quaint. Didn't really work for me tho. Like what did Keira expect was going to happen exactly? She overacts a bit too much, too nervous. There's a spliced in moment of the real Gun that's interesting at the end but then it goes back to Voldemort for the epilogue.
Stacy popped this one in the queue and was looking forward to it as her afterwork Friday eve watch, but then immediately realized she'd seen it already and forgot. She watched about half and then went to bed. Honestly, I dosed off in the middle. The trail finale was so anticlimactic that it was a letdown.
No swordfights. Not DOOM recommended.
